Colony Trade Charter

Collector Card Trading Rules

Everything that governs how Sector-M character cards are sold, held and traded between citizens.

  1. Rule 01

250 cards per character — forever

Every character introduced in a Sector-M comic issue gets one collectible card series, and only 250 of that character will ever be created. Each card carries its own number, from #1 to #250.

  2. Rule 02

    Two per account

On any first release, a single account may buy a maximum of two cards of the same character, so no one can corner a set on day one. The limit is enforced at checkout.

  3. Rule 03

    Waves and treasury releases

The first wave opens a portion of the edition at the launch price. The rest stays with the colony treasury and is released in small batches over time — announced in advance, with a live countdown, at a higher advertised price. Cards that go unsold in a wave roll quietly back into the treasury. Nothing is ever burned.

  4. Rule 04

    The floor only ever climbs

Each card tracks a floor price set by how many times it has changed hands — never by what anyone paid. The first sale plants the base of the ladder; every transfer after that moves the floor up exactly one 10% step. A card first sold at $49.99 has a floor of $54.99 for its second owner, $60.49 for its third, $66.54 for its fourth, and so on. The floor follows the card's place on the ladder, not the price tag.

  5. Rule 05

Anyone can be offered — nobody has to list

Every card appears in the public holder registry under the holder's screen name. Any member can send an offer on any card, listed or not. Offers below the card's floor are rejected by the system.

  6. Rule 06

    Offers are public

Offers and completed sale prices are visible to every member, so the whole colony can see what a card is worth. Only screen names are shown — never an email address or a real name.

  7. Rule 07

    The holder decides

Nothing moves without the holder accepting. They can accept, decline, or talk it through with the bidder in a private message thread attached to the offer.

  8. Rule 08

    Trades settle inside the portal

On acceptance the payment moves from buyer to holder in $MILO, the card's ownership flips in the registry, and the new floor is set automatically. No handshake deals, no off-site transfers required.

  9. Rule 09

    Overpaying is a choice

If you offer far above the floor to win a card you want, the floor does not jump to 10% above your offer — it only moves up one rung on the ladder. Pay $100 for a card on its second transfer and the floor is still about $60.49. You may hold that card a long time before an offer clears your own cost. That is intentional.

  10. Rule 10

    Collectibles, not investments

Sector-M cards are fictional collectibles from a satirical universe. They are not securities, not an investment product, and no return of any kind is promised or implied. Collect them because you like them.
